Provided are data of some megaships at the time of delivery being the largest, additionally data of some competitors’ megaships; data dependent on sources, generally in accordance with Kludas; approximate data for ships not yet delivered. For the “Queen Mary 2” a size of 148,528 gt was reported by Kludas and SM, but some other source mentioned 151,400 gt. For the “Norwegian Breakaway” a size of 144,017 gt was given initially, but then also 146,600 gt. For passenger numbers the lower-berth capacity is mentioned, not the maximum capacity. The power of combustion engines in kW is substantially different from the lower output of the electric engines, mentioned by some publications. On this reason, the power is not included in the list. For the “Queen Mary 2” a power of combustion engines of 126,870 kW is reported, for the “Oasis of the Seas” 103,000 kW, for the more standard “Carnival Magic” 75,600 kW. The speed of cruise ships generally is around 22 knots, the “Queen Mary 2” with 30 knots being the exception.
